Oreo - The Dunk Files... from quality cookie wafer to disintegrating grit.
We left the US in 2014 for work. We left an Oreo cookie that had remained the same in my 37 years of life experience.
When we returned in January, 2017, Oreos had changed. My optimal dunking time was 12 seconds prior to 2014. Twelve seconds previously produced a moist, yet firm chocolate wafer with delicious flavor and an aftertaste which required a drink of the dunking milk. Now, 12 seconds yields a mushy, gritty wafer with less cookie flavor and a stale aftertaste.
I didn't know that operations had moved to Mexico before noticing the taste. And, frankly, I care more about that traditional Oreo cookie than the politics surrounding jobs. I'm saddened. Oreos were once enjoyable.
Now, palatable.
No substitute exists. I am in mourning.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
