So Oreos, as of the last year or so, outsourced to Mexico. Since then, the oreos absolutely blow.

I used to eat one, and then instantly need the rest of the roll. Now, I'll have one and not want to eat another oreo ever again. It's a *** shame. I don't know what they did to the,but they completely ruined oreos.

They taste cheaper, the cookies do. The cream is okay, but they put less of it in the cookie, if you *** the cookies, they only fill the rim of it, there is a deficiency in the middle of cream. I'd pay double to have American, Chicago-made oreros again.

I wouldn't care i they tasted the same, but they aren't. *** outsourcing.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Oreo Pros: Ruined them.

Oreo Cons: Cookies anymore.

Oreoking

Most of the complaints started because most of the oreos are made in Mexico. Production for oreos in the United States has slowed dramatically.

This was not only because they decided to move production to Mexico to the "lines of the future" but the taste has become totally off.

When the majority of oreos on the shelf are made in Mexico and the complaints are getting higher and higher, you have to be able to realize it is because it is made in a *** plant.

Other companies have done this and started to lose profits and are slowly moving back. Quality is something people will actually pay for.

1st: OREO production wasn't outsourced. Mondelฤ“z International has North American facilities in Mexico, Canada, and the USA (along with bakeries in many other countries globally).

Some production capacity was transferred to Mexico to an existing facility with availability on more modern lines. The Chicago Bakery is one of the oldest and the lines they shut down were no longer viable.

2nd: Not ALL OREO production was moved. Many US workers continue to manufacture, package, and deliver OREO. You can easily check the back of any OREO package to see if that package was made outside the USA.

It will say "Made in Canada" or "Made in Mexico". If it says neither, it was made in USA.

(This does not address the taste or quality issues you have, only the misunderstanding that only Mexico makes the OREO sold in US.)
