Heavy metals in your Oreo cookies?
I recently purchased your cookies at a checkout counter at Superamerica at 75th and Lyndale in Richfield, Mn. I have eaten them before in the little packets and I get a stomach upset usually...which isn't the worst thing in the world.
But recently a nickel allergy was reactivated in me because I wore a pendant close to my neck that I thought was silver and it was not...but laden with nickel. I took some healing measures and it started to get better(the burning and itching welts). About a half hour after the Oreos I was reinfected and the nickel allergy was worse than the first time. These Oreos had a red filling.
I looked up nickel in food and it said that some chocolate products have nickel in them from the metal containers where the ingredients are stirred. Can you verify for me that this is true or not true as regards your equipment?
A similar thing happened with m & ms, which I eat more often...But not with Hershey bars. Please let me know
Reason of review: Nickel contamination in the cookies.
Preferred solution: I just want to know how the nickel gets in the food..
Oreo Pros: But they made me sick.
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
